Every month the Jewish Federation of Western CT continues to provide musical performances whether in person or virtual. This program provides an opportunity for our Seniors to come out and enjoy an hour or two with a group of their contemporaries while enjoying music. Each event comes with a delicious Kosher lunch.

In additions to reports from Pauline and Gary Jones, Roy provided a summary of the work of the Grants and Allocations Committee of the Federation for the past year, noting that we have provided over $400,000 in funding to support Jewish schools, campers, college students, students engaged in Israel study programs, Israeli social service agencies, and local Jewish and secular nonprofit organizations.
On Tuesday, June 6th a group of women and men joined our Rosh Chodesh Program with singer and songwriter Ellen Allard, who used songs to help her describe her Jewish journey. The Shine a Light on Antisemitism campaign, a joint program of all of our State’s Jewish Federations with the support of other Jewish and non-Jewish friends in Connecticut, was a big success. Taking place during Chanukah, the Shine a Light program included a major press conference AT WHICH the Governor endorsed the fight against Antisemitism and issued a strong statement in support of the Jewish Community.
