The PJ Library of Western, CT is made possible by the Jewish Federation of Western, CT and in part by the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism.
At PJ Library, we recognize that there is no one way to raise a Jewish family, and we welcome you whether you grew up observing Shabbat every Friday night, or celebrated Hanukkah for the first time when you married into a Jewish family. No matter your Jewish background, PJ Library helps your family create cherished Jewish moments through the simple act of reading stories together. We support interfaith parents, LGBTQ parents, adoptive parents, and everything in between.
We mail out FREE Jewish children’s books or music CDs every month to children in Western CT between the ages of 6 months-8 years, and we would love to include your family as well!

The Jewish Federation of Western CT in partnership with PJ Library, a program of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, gave summer fun bags to one of the Yeshiva Community camps, “Best Camp Ever”, located in the Overlook section of Waterbury, CT.
Each child at the summer-long camp received a canvas bag filled with educational items such as books, materials to make a wooden mask, and supplies of pencils, crayons, and pads. Their activities range from canvas painting, water games, arts & crafts, with time to bake cookies, eat pancakes, and swim in the pool. They shared their summertime creativity to produce a carnival for another neighborhood camp. The camp also offered an opportunity for the 9th & 10th grade camp counselors to take responsibility and learn leadership skills while achieving the ability to run the summer camp.
