Three Meaningful Visits to Our Grantee Partners

I’ve shared before that many important matters come across my desk each week. This week, I want to highlight three visits I made to our grantee partners, visits that clearly show how your support of the JFED annual campaign makes a real difference in our community.

Safe Haven of Waterbury

On Monday, I visited Safe Haven of Waterbury.

Safe Haven provides crisis and support services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. All services are confidential, free of charge, and available 24/7. JFED’s support helps ensure that counselors can continue this critical work offering safety, care, and guidance when it is needed most.

Family and Children’s Aid

We also visited Family and Children’s Aid alongside JFED Board Member Chaim Gewirtzman.

Family and Children’s Aid operates an exceptional, child-friendly facility and provides behavioral health services across a variety of settings. Like Safe Haven, all services are confidential, free of charge, and available 24/7.

Seeing the environment they’ve created, and the depth of care they provide was a powerful reminder of how vital this work is.

Why These Visits Matter

These visits underscore how community support turns into real impact. Because of your generosity, these organizations can continue showing up for individuals and families during their most vulnerable moments.

This is how JFED’s mission comes to life—through partnership, presence, and purpose.
