On March 11, 2025, Jewish Federation of Western CT Regional Security Advisor (RSA)  Michael Shanbrom, and SCN Regional Director (RD) Mike Butsch, conducted a comprehensive security assessment of Congregation Adath Israel in Newtown, CT. The security assessment was provided by the Jewish Federation of Western CT at no cost to the synagogue, through the Jewish Federation of Western CT’s ongoing commitment to ensure the safety and security of Western CT’s Jewish community.
