Boker tov.
I'm writing this sitting on Wednesday night in the hotel lobby in Jerusalem having arrive just a few hours ago. After the plane landed and I turned on my phone there were a few texts from my family on WhatsApp, saying there was a ceasefire!
I started to weep. A ceasefire and I'm here!! What a privilege it is.
It will bring peace to the region even if it's only for six weeks. It will bring some hostages home, dead and alive. No, it's not a long-term dream deal. But it is a good step in the right direction which we haven't seen in a very long time. May God who creates peace, grant us all in the Middle East peace and let us say Anen.
We will see in the ground the harsh realities of living near the north and near Jenin. Next week I will report about our JFED's meetings in and around Afula. For now, after a 23-hour trip here, I look forward to being here and seeing the first hostages released on Sunday.
