We had the opportunity to visit Mount Moses (Har Moshe) Synagogue in Danbury, a seasonal congregation that serves approximately 60 Jewish families.

It was especially meaningful because this is the second congregation we’ve connected with in just a matter of weeks. These families now know about the Jewish Federation of Western Connecticut, and we now know about them.

Our visit also included a security assessment and recommendations to help strengthen the synagogue’s infrastructure.

Mount Moses has a remarkable history, with its synagogue structure built approximately 65 years ago by Jewish NYC firefighters. Today, it remains a special place where Jewish life continues to gather, grow, and thrive.

We are proud to welcome Mount Moses into our broader Western Connecticut Jewish community.
