Bais Yaakov Seniors Join JFED to Combat Period Poverty

On Wednesday, May 21, 2025, the Jewish Federation of Western CT proudly hosted a Dignity Grows Packing Party to address the often-overlooked issue of period poverty.

We were honored to work alongside the enthusiastic senior class from Bais Yaakov High School, whose energy and commitment helped make this event a true success. Together, we packed 100 tote bags, each filled with essential personal hygiene products.

These bags will be distributed to two local organizations making a real impact: Jane Doe No More and the Harold Leever Cancer Center each receiving 50 tote bags to support women in need.

A heartfelt thank you to the Bais Yaakov Seniors and Federation volunteer Nancy Goldberg Hughes for their time, compassion, and dedication to this meaningful initiative.
