Hot Acoustics is a North American high energy guitar and violin duo whose performances have captivated audiences From Amsterdam to Aspen, West Berlin toBurning Man and Copenhagen to Key West.

Featuring Gary Bertz on guitar and Alyce Cognetta Bertz (concertmaster of the Waterbury Symphony Orchestra ),  Hot Acoustics serves up a diverse setlist full of unique renditions of familiar covers and original tunes.

They have shared the stage with well known performers including Leon Russell, Ritchie Havens, Phoebe Snow, The Ramones, Hot Tuna, Todd Rundgren, Bonnie Raitt, Stephen Stills, Merle Saunders.

Hot Acoustics has performed at Burning Mann Project in Nevada the last ten years.
