St. Vincent DePaul Mission of Waterbury

St. Vincent DePaul Mission of Waterbury has received grant funding from the Jewish Federation of Western Connecticut in support of the Mission’s Food Pantry. Their support will help with operational costs associated with the program that provides groceries each week to those experiencing food insecurity. In Fiscal Year 2024, the Food Pantry served 9,831 consumers and distributed an equivalent of 49,155 meals in bagged groceries.

Upon hearing of the award, Edwin Rodriguez, Director of Operations, stated, “The Mission is grateful to the Jewish Federation of Western Connecticut for their generous financial support. Their concern for the well-being of those in need is an inspiration and reminder to all of us that we are our brother’s keeper. Their act of charity will help the Mission to provide the basic needs of food for the hungry in the Waterbury area.”
