In an op-ed, Senators Jacky Rosen (D-NV) and James Lankford (R-OK), co-chairs of the Senate Bipartisan Task Force for Combating Antisemitism, urged Congress to pass their bipartisan Jewish American Security Act. The senators noted that antisemitism and physical attacks against synagogues have spiked in an unprecedented way since Hamas's October 7, 2023 attack on Israel, and that their task force has secured funding to protect houses of worship, pushed for stronger civil-rights enforcement for students, and passed Holocaust education legislation.
