Beth El Synagogue Selects
Paul Drimmer as Recipient of its
2010 Shem Tov Award

Paul Drimmer has been chosen to receive Beth El Synagogue’s 2010 Shem Tov Award, to be presented at the Beth El Cantor's Concert on June 6, 2010 at the Walzer Family Jewish Community Campus, 444 Main Street, Southbury.

The Shem Tov (Good Name) award is presented to a member whose actions are guided by personal integrity, compassion, moral responsibility, and human ethics. The recipient  possesses profound humanitarian qualities derived from our sacred heritage and has shown a dedication to furthering the mission of the synagogue. Previous Shem Tov award winners choose each year's recipient.

Paul Drimmer, Beth El's immediate past president and recent past vice president, serves as the synagogue's current acting treasurer. Drimmer notes,  “Our congregation is very warm and caring, and we join in the services with a great deal of enthusiasm. I also enjoy participating in the business of running the synagogue. Retirement provided me with the opportunity to do just that, and I enjoy employing my corporate skills to serve Beth El."

Beth El president Mike Falk said, "Beth El is proud to honor Paul for his enthusiasm and dedication to the welfare of the synagogue and its members. All are warmly invited to attend the Beth El Cantor's Concert and honor Paul as he receives his much-deserved award."
